We are looking for Workforce /Worksite Developement Specialist for our DIRECT client in Brooklyn, NY

Below is the job description for the position.

Position Title- Workforce /Worksite Developement Specialist

Location- Brooklyn, NY, 11238

Duration- 6-12+ months of Contract

Client – Direct Client

5 Day onsite Job

This is primarily a community outreach, workforce development, and employment assistance role

Client would prioritize candidates with these areas of experience:

\n
1. Community Outreach / Resident Engagement – Experience conducting outreach activities and recruiting participants for community programs.
\n
2. Workforce Development / Employment Services – Experience helping unemployed or underserved individuals access job training, employment opportunities, and career services.
\n

Description of Work & Skills Desired

Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to the following:

\n
• Conduct recruitment to engage residents- engaging Client’s residents in a variety of methods including, but not limited to, canvassing, tabling, and hosting information sessions.
\n
• Serve as liaison for REES with various community stakeholders such as resident leaders, resident associations, and referral partners.
\n
• Assist in the creation of marketing materials including flyers, social media messages, letters, and email content.
\n
• Coordinate the availability of community space with Client’s partners at campuses citywide to conduct on-campus sessions. Facilitate resident information sessions citywide.
\n
• Source and pre-screen graduates for employment opportunities and provide follow up communication to residents referred to job orders. Create a structure to provide resident retention support until one-year post placement.
\n
• Source and pre-screen graduates for union apprenticeship programs. Communicate with residents throughout the referral process and confirm enrollment.
\n
• Assess the outcomes of resident referrals to both employment and union apprenticeship opportunities. Determine potential barriers and provide information on resources needed to address such barriers.
\n
• Communicate with contracted training providers regarding graduate employment referrals. Participate in calendared contracted training partner calls.
\n
• Perform daily data entry on employment and union apprenticeship referrals, dispositions, and progress notes in required databases. Adhere to Client’s privacy protocols around personal identifiable information.
\n
• Produce a weekly report of outreach efforts, info sessions, pre-screenings, employment connection, and job retention outcomes.
\n
• Document resident successes, including graduate testimonials and success stories.
\n
• Respond to resident phone, email or in-person inquires in a timely manner.
\n
• Participate in unit-specific and REES wide meetings.
\n
• Other related duties as required.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
\n
• Commitment to excellent customer service and passion for serving Clients residents.
\n
• Proficiency in MS Office and excellent data entry skills.
\n
• Past related professional experience, in community outreach, pre-screening, employment and retention or case management for job training or job readiness programs.
\n
• Ability to independently and as part of a team
\n
