Overview:

Our client is seeking a talented System Administrator.

Responsibilities:

\n
• Install, configure, and maintain operating system, software, and hardware
\n
• Monitor system performance to improve availability and reliability
\n
• Perform system upgrades, patch management, and server maintenance tasks to enhance system security and functionality
\n
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
\n
• Perform backup and recovery operations at regular intervals using Veeam Backup & Replication (configuration, monitoring, and management)
\n
• Utilize ITIL-based processes to capture tasks and obtain approvals
\n
• Develop and maintain documentation of system and network configurations
\n
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users
\n
• Support network design, configuration, and ongoing network infrastructure management (switches, routers, firewalls)
\n
• Administer hybrid Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Azure Active Directory
\n
• Utilization of an RMS platform for remote maintenance or end user support
\n

Required Qualifications:

\n
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar major with extensive computer-based or technical content), or 8 years of experience in lieu of education.
\n
• Minimum of 5 years of system administration experience in any size environment
\n
• Foundational understanding of UNIX and Windows systems
\n
• Core understanding of networking (e.g., routing, switching, protocols, and basic network security)
\n
• 3-5 years of system administration experience supporting Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS) requirements
\n
• Experience administering hybrid Microsoft 365 environments
\n
• Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication for backup and disaster recovery planning
\n
• Experience in network engineering tasks such as design, implementation, and support of enterprise networks
\n
• Experience in server patching and maintenance best practices
\n
• Experience working with ITIL Service Transition and Operation processes, such as Change Management and Incident Management
\n
• Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance
\n

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub)
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong presentation, and effective communication
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team or independently when required
\n
• Experience in Agile environments
\n
• Experience working in Cloud DevOps environments, such as Azure DevOps
\n
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
\n
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and DoD compliance policies
\n
• IAT II certification required (e.g., Security+, Cloud+) or obtained within 6 months of hire date
\n

Additional Requirements

\n
• This position requires eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Candidates will be subject to background investigation in accordance with federal requirements. Employment is contingent on meeting all clearance and adjudication requirements.
