Maverick Currencies is hiring a Proprietary Trader based in Martinsburg, WV. This is a remote, performance-based opportunity we fund qualified US traders with up to $400,000 in firm capital and split profits 60% to 90% depending on performance tier.
Martinsburg is a sensible base for remote trading. Eastern time aligns you directly with the New York open and the London close, so the high-volume hours of the FX day land in your morning instead of fighting your evening. You're not trying to outwork the market you're matching your hours to where the liquidity actually is, then stepping away.
West Virginia traders in Charleston, Huntington, Morgantown, and Parkersburg work Eastern time. The London close hits mid-morning, the New York open at start-of-day, and the FX day's high-volume hours wrap before evening.
This is a contract role with no fixed salary or hourly pay. Earnings come entirely from a profit split on the trading returns you generate, ranging from 60% to 90% of profits depending on your tier. Consistently profitable traders earn $50,000 to $200,000+ per year. Traders who are not consistently profitable will not earn income the model rewards results, not effort.
Q: Is there a daily loss limit?
A: Yes risk management at the trade level and at the daily level is non-negotiable. The specific limits depend on your account tier, but the principle is the same: protect the capital first, generate returns second.
Q: How do you measure 'consistent'?
A: Consistency is measured across enough trades to be statistically meaningful not over a lucky week or a bad week. Profit factor, win rate, drawdown discipline, and rule adherence all matter, and we review them on an ongoing cadence rather than as a one-shot evaluation.
